History Quiz

Overview

This is a just-for-fun history quiz.

Audience: Middle School, High School, Adults

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Figma, GIMP

This project was developed in Storyline as a challenge to create a quiz of 10 questions with each question in a different interactive style. Each style is indicated in the instructions and in the top right corner.

Example:

User Progress: The user's progress can be seen on each slide in the top right corner. The user sees ten circles after clicking start. Grey indicates the question has not yet been answered, yellow indicates the question the user is currently answering, green indicates a correct response, and red indicates an incorrect response.

Example:

Correct, Correct, Incorrect, Correct, Current place, the rest unanswered.

Correct, correct, incorrect, correct, current place, rest incorrect.

Theme: Each image has been set to grayscale with the focus of the picture highlighted in mustard yellow to match the theme of the border and buttons.

Example:

Feedback Layers: The user is shown a layer indicating if the response is correct or incorrect with the correct answer given.

Review: Upon completion, the user is given their score and can review both correct and incorrect answers by clicking the numbers in the circle. The color indicates if the answer was correct or incorrect.

Image Editing: I used GIMP to mash up of three photos used in the quiz by removing backgrounds.
